Professional Experience and Qualifications: I started my business, JSW Media, Inc, out of my house thirteen years ago. We are now an e-commerce retailer that sells a variety of products online with fifteen people on staff. We also recently relocated the business to our newly constructed warehouse on Rt 75 in Suffield. I hope to continue to grow my business and to keep investing in this town. Prior to owning my own business, I taught 5th and 6th graders as a special education teacher with the Suffield Public Schools.
Family: Since first moving to Suffield in 2003, I met and married my wife, Michelle. We have since moved within Suffield to another home with our two dogs and hope to raise a family here as well. We appreciate the charm of Suffield, with it’s farms, open space, and small town feel, and are excited to continue to get more involved in our town.
Why Am I Running? I believe that my business skills and recent building experience give me an unique perspective on the planning and zoning processes in Suffield. And, although it’s important to be open to new development, particularly commercial to broaden Suffield’s tax base, I believe that we need to balance that with paying special attention to preserving Suffield’s unique character. I hope to learn more through serving as an alternate on the Planning and Zoning Commission and to use my experience to be helpful in balancing the development opportunities with maintaining so much of what already makes Suffield a great place to live.
