Why I am running for the Water Pollution Control Authority?
I have lived in Suffield for 40 years. My husband and I have two adult children who attended our public schools. I am a former member of the Zoning and Planning Commission, 1986-1990. I have been on the Zoning Board of Appeals for 18 years, and the Library Commission for 7 years.
I have found being part of these boards has helped me to understand better how our town government works. I have also learned how to work toward consensus decisions.
A side benefit of participating in our town government is that of meeting great fellow townspeople.
My interest in serving on the WPCA comes from a desire to promote the highest standards of professionalism and service to our town.
My priorities are to:
* To support the facility’s skilled and dedicated employees
* Maintain the efficient operation of the physical plant
* Foster a positive working relationship with the town
