Suffield Board of Selectmen

I wanted to take a moment to acknowledge our disappointment that Fred Sweitzer and Kristen Kling were not appointed to the Kent Memorial Library Commission and Social Services Commission respectively and to thank everyone who turned out to speak during the public comment period or signed the petitions in support of our candidates. It is disappointing that the Republicans on the Board of Selectmen continue to be unwilling to work in a bipartisan way to put the needs of the community first. Instead of appointing people with both the vision and practical experience to create positive change in our community, they appoint anyone who adheres to the party line which seeks to indulge a privileged segment of the population, instead of acting in the best interest of the entire community.
If you are angry and disappointed at some of the results from tonight [Feb 19], we need your help to work towards change in November and beyond. You can do this by donating to our Democratic Town Committee, volunteering with our upcoming municipal election campaign, or stepping forward as a candidate for an appointed or elected position.
You may donate at this link on our website or by mailing a check to Suffield Democratic Town Committee, PO Box 263, West Suffield, CT 06093.
If you are interested in volunteering with us or want to discuss serving in an appointed or elected position, please use the Contact Us form on our website and we will get back to you as quickly as we can so we can start working together to make a better Suffield.
Sincerely,
Tom Frenaye
Chair
Suffield DTC
