Why James is running for BOE:
As a parent of 3 children that are in the Suffield Public Schools, I have a vested interest in the success of the district. With the choice of an exceptional Superintendent under my previous tenure, and the continued hard work of the current exceptional Board of Education Team and school administrators, we have made great strides in bringing stability back to the district, setting meaningful goals, executing those goals and vastly improving the performance of the students. That is not just important for student families, but also for those Suffield residents without children in the system because the value of your assets is linked in great part to the performance of the school district. I would love to continue with my work on the Board so that I can assure the best possible education for all the children within the Suffield Public Schools.
