Melissa Silva will bring NEW leadership that listens. She will fight to bring government
transparency up to modern standards and will make Suffield a kinder place by making sure that
all voices are heard. Melissa will bring back small backyard farms (which are currently
prohibited) and innovate local agriculture.
Born in Queens, NY, Melissa moved to Suffield with her husband of 18 years and 4 children in
order to be near family. Her children and many of her nieces and nephews are currently in the
Suffield school system. Melissa works as an office billing manager for a rheumatology practice
and has experience lobbying for policy improvements in healthcare. Her dedication to values,
coupled with strong organizational and interpersonal skillsets, will provide much-needed service
to the people of Suffield.
